Texas AP Football Poll, Week 1

Our Westlake Chaps are #1 in the state, according to the latest Associated Press high school football poll – following their 32-29 victory over Katy on Friday night. On the 5A side, Cedar Park see-saws with Aledo to take the #1 spot, with the rest of the top 10 almost completely intact.

Following each team are the number of first-place votes in parentheses, records, points based on 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1, and the team’s ranking in last week’s poll.
