Lake Travis Football represented the entire Austin-area as the lone Central Texas team playing at Cowboys Stadium for the State Finals. The Cavaliers fell to a talented Allen program (35-33 Final), but made us all so proud in the process.
Ohio State signee Matthew Baldwin was injured on the first offensive play of the game, thrusting sophomore Hudson Card into the lead quarterback role. After falling behind 21-0 to start the game, LT fought to cut the deficit to 21-17 by the half

Lake Travis would take the lead after a pick-six by Super Sophomore Kyle Eaves to begin the 2nd half. Allen would manage two more TDs before the Cavs cut the lead to 2 points via a Card to Kyle Wakefield TD. The subsequent 2 point conversion attempt was no good, as the Eagles managed to run the clock out with six minutes left to go in the game.
The Cavs return a bevy of talent from the 2017 State squad that featured 7 sophomores. We’re expecting a magical run in 2018. Stay tuned on New Years Day ’18, as Snupe Daniel prepares a touching State recap mixtape.
