DISTRICT 11-5A SUPERLATIVES

DISTRICT MVP

Chase Griffin (’19), Hutto
Griffin threw for over 4000 yards (running for over 400 yards) in a brilliant senior campaign. The Bruin bound star tossed an eye opening 51 TDs, while adding 8 more scores with his feet. We’ve been big fans of Chase since his early junior high ‘CR-path’ days, and will be watching him at UCLA and beyond in life. Thank God for Chase.

OFFENSIVE MVP

Caleb Forrest (’19), Hutto
Forrest torched opponents for 1400 receiving yards, taking 17 of his 87 receptions this year for scores. Along the way, Caleb racked up two 200+ receiving yard games, three games with 3+ TDs, and a slew of highlights along the way. What doesn’t show in the stat books are his downfield blocks that helped spring Nwabuko/Kimble on runs, and his undying passion for the game. Caleb, you earned this high honor designation.

DEFENSIVE MVP

Mason Meyer (’19), Georgetown
Notching 60 tackles and 10 sacks (3 forced fumbles) his senior year, Myer helped the Eagles to their longest playoff run since its State Finals run of 2012. #6 often absorbed double teams on the line, but fought through to make the play – or opened up holes for his fellow all district Eagles to make a play. From the wrestling impressions during post game interviews, to the epic shout outs and mixtape highlights – we’ll miss you, Six.

Elijah Oakmon (’22), Pflugerville
