Lake Travis Baseball Falls To Southlake Carroll in State Semifinal, 6-2

Forever proud of this Lake Travis Baseball team, taking us further than any area 6A program in 2019. While we put together an emotional final LT Baseball mixtape of the season, check out a Twitter/text recap below.

37-5 overall record for Lake Travis Baseball, as their season came to an end at Dell Diamond last night, 6-2 to a talented Southlake Carroll team.

It was a beautiful night for baseball, despite temps being in the 90s

It was a festive event for our Cavaliers. And with a family portrait, you’ve got to bring in the very best to take care of it. Enter Mr. Donald J. Boyles!

MLB First Round Draft pick (12th overall by the New York Mets) Brett Baty (’19) started the game as pitcher – striking out 2, but giving up 1 ER. SLC would proceed to intentionally walk Baty (twice), hit him with a pitch, and miraculously escape a straight away homer to center when Baty flew out in the 6th inning. They did their best to nullify Brett the Met.

The game MVP for Lake Travis had to be second baseman Jack Lopez (’20) who had a hand in both of the Cavaliers’ runs. Scoring in the 2nd, and and RBI in the 5th

Stay tuned early next week, as we prepare our final LT baseball mixtape of 2019.
